Okay I know to some of yall I am a little late with this one but I just discovered Francis and The Lights and I love em. Not sure

what to call what it but I know it feels good to me. But for the sake of this post I will call it “NUWAVESOUL”. Francis and the

lights fronted by Francis Farewell Starlite sound like anything that you have ever heard. They are a favorite of the SXSW festival

and will be opening up for The Roots at the Highline Ballroom Sept 8th if you get a chance they are worth a listen. Funky and

infectious might be the best way to describe what they sound. Check “A Modern Promise” a synth bass laden track that harks back to

early Prince sparce and funky with light rythym guitar licks. Or “Strawberries” another funky synth track . Not much more that I

can say about the music just close your eyes and let it talk to you.
