Kanye West Runaway short film
Its been said that there is a thin line between genius and mad man and that some of the most talented individuals are the most conflicted. Kanye fits so perfectly in those slots. His ego and vulnerability is what makes him one of those artist people love to hate. Runaway, the song you cant stop singing, is pretty ingenious if you ask me. Kanye knows that a lot of folk look at him as an asshole and he embraces it. What better way to disarm your foes.
Anyway the new talk is that Kanye is promoting satanic imagery in his album cover as well new videos. Im not sure i can take the same position especially after seeing the Runaway video. The video itself has a very interesting message. Visually its right in line with what I would expect from someone as creative as Kanye. I looked at it from an art film perspective rather look at it within a literal sense. In doing that I realized within that context his job as an artist is to make art ….not to make sense. But that’s just my opinion you judge for your self … your either gonna love it or hate it. And by the way …. the music is sick…. dude really is on some next shit musically.
