NEW MUSIC – Common -The Dreamer The Believer
So one of my favorites artists released his new album today Common always keeps my faith in hip hop going . On the Dreamer and The Believer he teams up with his old partner in crime NO I.D. to bring you full circle . The Dreamer sounds like an amalgamation of all of his albums. Common went from freestyle monster to conscious emcee to experimental musician and now a man that has lived loved and seen some things and it shows on this album.
On songs like Sweet and Raw (how you like it) Common sounds as if he is heated with the game and letting cats know that next time they do a greatest list his name better be in the top 10. And I agree… .. Common is so underrated as an artist but that might all change with this album. Celebrate is one of those songs that make you feel good guaranteed to be the song played at many New Years party’s this year. Blue Sky is one of the songs that gives hope to those who dream big overall the album is soulful emotional and worth every penny.
