NEW MUSIC – Frank Ocean Nostaliga, Ultra MIXTAPE
o.k. if you know me you know that I am not a huge fan of much of the hip and r&b that is out nowadays . Which is why I don’t write as often the site as I would like to. For the last couple of weeks I’ve been hearing about these Odd Future dudes I got drunk and watch the MTV Woodie Awards and almost vowed never to listen to music made by anyone under the age of 25 again. Of course that would be foolish maybe it was the Bacardi talking but anyway… In comes Frank Ocean didn’t know dude was down with Odd Future though I am not a fan I believe there is a place for all kinds of music so knocking them for what they do is useless. Some things are made for the people that they are made for.
This cat Frank Ocean is extremely talented completely different from what you may have heard from Odd Future … the mixtape is actually better some R&B cats full albums. I think my favorite mixtape so far this year. Soulful gritty yet somewhat poppy which is not a bad thing at all. This mixtape is what maybe Drake may have been shooting for when he announced he was putting out an R&B mixtape. Sorry Drizzy but I speak from my heart but I may be wrong ( in Charles Barkley Voice) … anyway enjoy .
