I love socially conscience hip hop. It’s what I grew up on . Public Enemy, Jumgle Brothers, Brand Nubian, Lakim Shabazz and more. I love the fact that you black men and women can get brutally honest on record and effect change. That was something that was great about hip hop music in the mid to late 80′s. Chuck D was so right when he said hip hop music is like CNN for the hood. Killer Mike one time homiey of the phenomenal Outkast has always been one of my favorite lyricist. I loved his voice and flow and I always thought dude was underated as an emcee. He’s put out a lot of music of the last couple of years but this song and especially the video just needs to be heard and seen. America is at a tipping point and its just not black or hispanic white youth are fed up just as much and Killer Mike address that issue in this song and video. Word is B.E.T. Banned it so I said fuck it I needed to support it… enjoy
